ALUMNI

The goal of the Longwood Alumni Association is to advance the interests of the University and to strengthen the bonds between the University, its alumni and friends.

Longwood alumWe will begin developing a relationship with you while you are enrolled at the University; however, the depth of the relationship will begin at graduation. We hope that this relationship will last throughout your lifetime. Administrations come and go. Staff members come and go. Faculty members come and go. The one constant in the life of the University is our alumni. Yes, the profile of the Alumni Association changes with each graduating class, but the spirit of loyalty, concern, involvement, and support has not changed over the 119-year history of the Alumni Association.

During your years on campus, you will have the opportunity to interact with alumni. They will be speakers for programs sponsored by the Career Center, academic departments, and student organizations. You will see them on campus for class and organization reunions. You will celebrate with them at Oktoberfest and Spring Weekend. You will meet them during your internship. You will benefit from their financial support of the alumni annual fund. They will be a part of your university experience whether or not you personally know them.

So we hope you will consider joining the Longwood family, a family with over 24,000 alumni members, 4,500 student members and 500 faculty/staff members.
