Minimum Requirements
English - 4
Math - 3 (must include Algebra I and II and Geometry)
Science - 3 (two must include a lab)
Social studies - 3
Health/physical education - 2
Fine or practical arts - 1
Foreign language - 2 of same language (additional units of the same language strongly recommended.)
Admission is competitive. Decisions are based on: college preparatory academic units completed; GPA in those courses; competitiveness of program; and SAT or ACT scores. Activities and community involvement are also considered, but primary emphasis is placed on the academic record. Class rank is helpful information but it is not required.
Completed Application
A completed application consists of: the application, personal statements, $50.00 application fee; high school and/or college transcript; and SAT or ACT scores.

Our Campus
Longwood takes a great deal of pride in its beautiful 60-acre residential campus, where 70 percent of undergraduates live in university-sponsored housing.
Many buildings on campus are done in a red-brick colonial revival style; others, such as the new Health & Fitness Center, have a more contemporary design.

Recommendations
We do not require recommendations - but we will certainly review them. We find those especially useful that share information not found on the application or transcript.
Application Fee Waivers
We recognize the College Board Fee Waiver in lieu of our $50.00 application fee. We will also accept a letter from you requesting a waiver and noting your awareness of a family's financial hardship.
The SAT
We evaluate the highest Critical Reading and the highest Math even if taken at different times. We will not be using the Writing score in the admissions process. We also accept the ACT.
Questions Regarding an Admission Decision
Within our office we are assigned certain geographic territories. Your admission representative can be found using our interactive "Find Your Counselor" map. However, if "your" admissions representative is not available, you may speak with any available counselor so that you may have your question answered in a timely manner.
