Transfer Scholarships

Longwood University offers numerous scholarship opportunities to entering freshmen who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Eligible students should submit their applications for admission by January 15 to the Office of Admissions to be considered for academic scholarships.

Students who apply for admission by January 15 will be considered for the following scholarships if they meet additional requirements (no additional application is required). Competition for these scholarships is steep. Students receiving merit-based awards for fall of 2008 had a GPA above 3.8 and a SAT above 1250.

  • Transfer Scholarships (March 1 deadline)

Students are strongly encouraged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based assistance offered by Longwood University. March 1 is the priority deadline for filing the FAFSA for financial aid consideration.
