Admission is competitive. Decisions are based on: college preparatory academic units completed; GPA in those courses; competitiveness of program; and SAT or ACT scores. Activities and community involvement are also considered, but primary emphasis is placed on the academic record. Class rank is helpful information but it is not required.

Completed Application

A completed application consists of: the application, personal statements, $40.00 application fee; high school and/or college transcript; and SAT or ACT scores.

Recommendations

We do not require recommendations – but we will certainly review them. We find those especially useful that share information not found on the application or transcript.

Application Fee Waivers

We recognize the College Board Fee Waiver in lieu of our $40.00 application fee. We will also accept a letter from you requesting a waiver and noting your awareness of a family’s financial hardship.

The New SAT

For freshmen entering in the fall of 2007, we will only be evaluating the Critical Reading (Verbal) and Math scores. We evaluate the highest Critical Reading/Verbal and the highest Math even if taken at different times. We will not be using the Writing score in the admissions process. We also accept the ACT.
